Lamar Henderson is a nationally recognized fatherhood advocate and independent consultant with more than 20 years of experience empowering men and strengthening families. His mission is to help fathers embrace their role with confidence, legacy, and purpose. This work has been recognized at the highest levels, including the President’s Award for Service (2012), awarded by President Barack Obama.

As a keynote speaker and trainer, Lamar draws on decades of hands-on experience leading the All Dads Matter initiative in Merced County, California. His presentations inspire audiences to reimagine fatherhood as a foundation for stronger families and healthier communities. Whether speaking at conferences, facilitating leadership trainings, or consulting with organizations, Lamar engages participants with his expertise in fatherhood engagement, trauma-informed care, parenting education, and equity in human services.

Lamar’s independent work builds on a career that includes serving as the first president of the California Fatherhood Council, training professionals through UC Davis School of Human Services and Fresno State University’s Central California Training Academy, and co-authoring publications on father involvement in youth services. He also serves as a board member of the New Fathers Foundation / Boot Camp for New Dads, where he helps guide a national nonprofit dedicated to preparing and supporting men in their fatherhood journey.

As co-author, award-winning leader, and dynamic speaker, Lamar continues to champion the message that fatherhood is more than a role, it is a legacy. He offers keynote speaking, training, and consulting services for organizations, schools, and agencies committed to strengthening families and building community through fatherhood.
